November Free Motion Quilting Challenge
This month’s Free Motion Quilting Challenge at SewCalGal‘s site was provided by Sarah Vedler and it was all about spirals. Sarah is a quilt and block-of-the-month designer, an embroidery designer and also free motion quilts.
So our challenge was to learn to do spirals. Well, I did two rows of spirals, and then I thought, well these could also be rectangles. And then I did some squares, and finally some triangles. It’s a pretty versatile concept and I could see it as a background fill.
We’ve got one more month to go in the challenge and it has been a lot of fun. SewCalGal has been generous with her time and knowledge. The Challenge also has a Yahoo group that allows us to share our monthly projects. I feel like I “know” quilters from around the world now!
Great take on the spirals – I especially like those triangular ones! All these designs would be perfect for an ethnic quilt.
Never thought of that-you’re right-perfect for an ethnic project!
All lovely. You are so talented.
Beautiful Jenny. I also love your squares and triangles.

I love your spirals!!!
This is so pretty, Jenny. I love how you adapted the motif for spiral triangles and Greek Key squares.
Thanks Rebecca! I was just trying different styles and liked how some of it turned out.
It’s a pity you don’t have a donate button! I’d certainly donate to this
outstanding blog! I suppose for now i’ll settle for bookmarking and
adding your RSS feed to my Google account. I look forward to new updates
and will talk about this site with my Facebook group.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead
of that, this is excellent blog. An excellent read.
I will certainly be back.
