Long Beach Here I Come!

July 31, 2013

Packed for Long Beach I’m packed and ready for my trip to International Quilt Festival-Long Beach! I’m excited for so many reasons:
-It’s my first time “on staff” at an IQF event.
-A new Studio Art Quilt Associates exhibit will debut: “An Exquisite Moment”.
-Half of my local guild must be going-I’ll see lots of friends there.
-My classes are going to be so much fun!
-I’m absolutely determined to fill my Table Topper class.
-How much more fun can you have in a day?

Do I really have time for one more sample??I’m trying to get one more sample of the technique that I use in my table topper done. I found this luscious heavy, gorgeous striped silk in my stash and I’m hoping to just get a little sample done, a little something to tote around with me as I cruise vendors and teach.

Progress Made

I have no idea whether I will have time to complete this today-I’m really pushing the limit. I am loving the idea of incorporating the stripes in the design-I sure hope I have time to finish.

My posts may be brief or sparse for awhile as I will be taking a few days off after the Festival. So for some of you-see you in Long Beach!

Jenny, I know you and your work will be a hit. This won’t be your last time as staff at this show, I’m sure. Enjoy every minute!
