Family Time
I’ve had a quiet, low-key and positively lovely Christmas!
Youngest son is here for a nice visit and we went to Christmas Eve services together, then grabbed Hubby and drove around looking at lights. Our usual Christmas Eve dinner has been “Chicken Dot Soup” (their childhood name for chicken soup with Acini Di Pepe pasta–like little dots). We avoided dinner altogether as we headed over to an Open House and grazed our way through dinner. We don’t make a huge deal of gifts so Christmas Day we opened presents for 5 minutes, saw Darkest Hour and enjoyed pizza-on-the-grill as our Christmas dinner.
Terrible photo, I know, but you must know that I am a GREAT AUNT! I got to meet my little M for the first time when my niece and her hubby flew to the West Coast for Christmas. I have not held a baby in a long time and it was pure bliss. She is just the sweetest thing. Someday, someday I’ll be a Gramma… I won’t see her/them for some time as they are heading to Liberia-gasp! Dad is with the State Dept and that is where their next assignment is. So I grabbed all the kisses I could!
What fun to see my sons playing with a baby!
How lucky am I-saw both sons, met my new Grand Niece, got to visit with my niece and her hubby. I am blessed. Soon it will just be Hubby and I again, the house quiet, a new year. All is good. Hope you have a wonderful New Year.

How special! All in due time for grands. I went from none to 3 the end of last year and now they are mobile! Such fun. Thought it would have taken longer since both sons are family newly married.

You mean I have to be patient waiting for grands??? You have a quiver full and how fun that must be! I hope my time is near. Happy New Year!!
