Pioneer Quilters Guild Show – 2019
I missed last year’s show due to a teaching trip so it was good to be back. As is usually the case, I didn’t have a lot of time to see the show but I think I was able to see it all. I even bought a few goodies:
Isn’t that adorable? I love it when someone makes my bag for me!
I intended to use this as my machine mat but it doesn’t work with my knee lift – dang!
Love what this Jane Sassaman fabrics did when fussy cut for the Bobby Dazzler pattern.
Gotta love a Big Dream panel – nice job!
Marilyn used Cheryl Lynch’s pattern and 3/8″ squares!
Cheryl named her fabric turkey after Frank Sinatra. That gave me a giggle.
It only took Patty 3 years to make this “quick” Log Cabin!
Louise liked the 2017 opportunity quilt so she decided to make it herself and gift it to her daughter. I like how the linear quilting really hightlighted her piecing.
Based on the Pioneer guild’s Block of the Month 2015. The quilting was fabulous, too bad my photo does not show it.
The kit for this quilt reminded Lynn of her childhood. I found this quilt so charming.
Betty bought the kit for this from a friend, saving her from a UFO. Friends helping friends… Fun quilting.
Based on a Block of the Month; Maryann’s first time working with wool. The echo quilting sets off the design well.
Pattern from PIQF + Cherrywood fabrics = this fun quilt!
Sue Spargo Block of the Month, 2018. Joyful quilting.
Pattern found at the Houston Quilt Show. Adorable!
Simple, traditional, lovely.
Christine combined part of a panel, strip piecing and bejeweled Prairie Points. Quilted with her Sashiko machine. I really enjoyed the textures in this piece.
First time Lemoyne Star for Maryann! I love the fluttering red bits around the perimeter.
Beautiful bargello using ombre fabrics.
This was Lana’s most fun quilt ever. Love her colorful fabric choices – reminds me of Jane Sassaman prints.
Lots of challenges here: paper piecing, scrappy plan, bias seams and ruler work. Great choice of yellow fabric to make those outer point pop!
Made from “Convex Illusions” pattern from Dwilt Art. This looks like a challenge!
Wow, Debra’s first paper piecing pattern and she chose a Judy Niemeyer? Fabulous!
Valerie “had” to go shopping to get the right fabrics for this pattern – I think she nailed it.
Linda almost abandoned this quilt because it just did not look like an elephant until she was far along.
Fun, easy, simple, pretty….and done!
Clever composition using a panel and 6 One Block Wonder blocks. Cheerful!
Sybil was inspired by the Red and White quilt exhibit in Houston in 2011. Beautiful design using EQ8. Just enough quilting to set it off.
From a pattern by Antelope Canyon using Dit Dot Evolution fabric. Love these colors!
I hope you enjoyed the show. Do you have a favorite?
I’ll be posting to Nina-Marie’s Off the Wall Friday.
