A slider is an important tool for smooth free motion quilting. I never quilt without one. Its’ zero-friction surface allows the quilt to glide easily and it also covers all the bumpy joinings on your machine bed.
I call it “Spanx for your machine bed”—it smooths the bumps and lumps for an easier quilting experience.
IMPORTANT: Your Slider will gather lint on the back during use. It is important that occasionally you remove it and clean it by simply running water over the pink backing. All of the fuzz will roll off and your Slider is clean again. Simply pat dry and put back on your machine. If you don’t keep it clean, it will move during quilting and you will sew through it and ruin your Slider! You can tell it needs cleaning by feeling the back – if it’s not sticky, you need to clean it.
