Accepted: Paducah and Long Beach!

Wahoo-I just picked up my mail and found an acceptance letter from Paducah! I have been juried into the “AQS Quilt Show and Contest” in Paducah, Ky. My quilt, Golden Moments, was juried into the “Small Quilt, Home Machine” category and will hang in the show from April 27-30. This is my first entry into this show so I am especially pleased!

Also I was recently accepted as a presenter at the Saturday Night Sampler at the International Quilt Festival Show at Long Beach. The Saturday Night Sampler is an opportunity for participants to see a variety of demonstrations by various quilters and artists. Each artist has a space to work from to show a particular technique or process. It’s a lot of fun and you get to see several different presenters.

I’ll be presenting “Create Your Own Free Motion Motifs“. I’ll be showing how you can find great ideas for unique motifs to use in your own quilting just by looking around you. They are in your clothing, fabric, home decor, magazines and books, upholstery, rugs, plants. Take those motifs, play with them a bit in your sketch book and you’ll find quilt-able motifs everywhere-I’ll show you how.

I’m so excited about both of these opportunities-I’m skipping around the house!

    Double congratulations! The quilting in your Golden Moments is beautiful. I especially love what you did on the border. Wish I could catch your Free Motion Motifs presentation. It sounds really interesting.
