Pacific International Quilt Festival 2021

NOTE: I won’t be posting next week on Thanksgiving. I hope you enjoy a lovely day of thanksgiving with those you love. I will have my full family here and I’m excited. I will be back the following week, 5 lbs heavier!

I’ve got a treat with a whole lot of great quilts to share! I know you’re not burned out on quilts, even though my last two posts from the Houston Int’l Quilt Festival had a total of around 80 quilts. I’m posting this out of chronological order, as the Houston show happened after PIQF. But I ran out of time and I’m just now catching up.

This year’s PIQF was about 30% smaller than previous years and the vendor selection was much reduced. There were vendors that I missed terribly and I didn’t spend a dime on vendors. Nothing tempted me – no hand dyed silks, crazy new products or anything that made me stop in my tracks.

But the quilts were great and I’ve got some eye candy for you. I’m a little pressed for time so I will post with just name and maker for each quilt. I’ve posted in the order I saw the quilts so it’s not really organized by section. Enjoy!

What a show! What great diversity in style, color, genre. I hope you caught my top 3 picks. How hard it must be to pick a Judge’s Choice! I have no idea how I would have chosen if I were a judge.

I so hope we will be back to a larger show with a full load of vendors next year. I hope you enjoyed the show. This is my last show post of the year.

I went to PIQF too and it’s always amazing to me to see things through others eyes. I don’t recall most of the pieces you spotlighted except a few here and there. My photos are almost a completely different collection! Thanks for sharing.

And what’s funny about that Nancy is that I would look at your photos and think, how did I miss that one!

Beautiful quilts. Thx for showing. I think the clouds quilt is by Shannon who blogs at I’m Working on a Project.

I am glad you enjoyed them Edith! Apparently that is not Shannon’s quilt as she is not a member of the SAQA Midwest group. I’ll keep looking. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your photos. It’s been ages since I’ve gone to a quilt show and it’s extraordinary how folks paint with fabric now.

Oh yes, it is amazing what you see at big quilt shows now Sharon! Glad you enjoyed it.
