The Roseville Quilters Guild Show, 2024
Last weekend I visited the Roseville Quilters Guild show, one I never miss if I’m in town. It was delightful! I think my interests change over time and that is reflected in what I took photos of.
There were some spectacular applique quilts and a really good number of maker quilted quilts. It seemed like a really fresh show, lots of color, newer designs and creative art quilts. So here we go:
Feels like spring.
Celebrating her anniversary.
Couldn’t be any cuter?
I love a Jacob’s Ladder quilt; great use of color.
Unique color combo makes this a special Hunter Star; for her grandson.
BOM for Sew Katie Jean this year; this is the shop sample.
Yes, feels like watermelon.
Fabulous colors and quilting.
2023 BOM for the guild.
2025’s Opportunity Quilt – spectacular!
Wow – the quilting, the design, the applique!
Guild’s BOM 2023.
I love the Scottie in the lower right corner.
What a wonderful Christmas quilt.
Easy to make she says; used Accuquilt to cut the pieces. I like the restrained color palette.
I am taken by the colors and the really cool quilting.
This is the result of a “partnership” with Betty Kisby; if Betty didsn’t like a block, Colleen would take it and usually make a Community Service quilt. I really like the colors.
So, so sweet.
Quilter’s Corner BOM from a while ago. I love this color combo and how the high value contrast adds.
Oh I love those daisies; so happy.
So cheerful and I like the unexpected choice of navy blue.
Sweet.
Jane saw a photo online and created her own pattern.
Cheerful colors; I like the way the design kind of “moves” as you study it.
From a Kerr and Ringle class; wow, that color. Transparency achieved.
Found top (!) and embroidered roses by a friend; a very special quilt.
Fun, happy, colorful.
Made in a Jan Krenz class at Empty Spools 2023.
A gift from the guild. The colors are so luscious!
Designed by Laurel Moore; adorable.
Freehand quilted on a commercial whole cloth; really cool.
Hand pieced, appliqued and embroidered quilt to represent all her travels.
Made as a class sample for a class she taught; just dripping with charm.
What a fun Halloween quilt.
Civil War fabrics in this quilt that was a gift from the guild; well loved.
She hand quilted each block after receiving the top as a gift from the guild.
Original design from 45 years ago; hand pieced and quilted; turned out to be a really difficult quilt.
Used Malar for the wings; just beautiful.
Broideried perse I think; so pretty.
What a fun quilt.
Beautiful applique on this quilt that was lost for a time, then found.
Hand pieced from flour sacks by the maker’s Husband’s grandmother; antique.
Special signature quilt for a 25th birthday in 1943.
Wool applique on homespun fabric and some beading; details were gorgeous.
Fabulous use of these fabrics.
Pattern creates a peaceful town in colonial days; no need for a police station.
Purchased in West Virginia; just so sweet.
Beautiful pineapple in such lovely fabrics.
The strips started with plain fabric; cool take on a Halloween quilt.
How cute.
Machine applique, beautiful composition.
What a fun and colorful applique.
Such fabulous color and a good choice to marry the panel and the border fabric.
She captured the hummingbird beautifully.
What a great show! I hope I am here for next year’s show.

I can see why you enjoy attending this guild’s show. Reminds me of the first time I stumbled on a quilt show. I was so wowed, I joined the guild. That was nearly 40 years ago – gasp! The fabrics and quilting have changed over the decades, but the patterns and particularly the heart are constant.
Jenny says
Oh how cool! Quilt shows are the starter drug….
Marcia Russell says
Thank you for sharing these beautiful projects so those of us who can’t see them in person can appreciate them.
Jenny says
Glad you enjoyed the show Marcia!

What an eclectic show. I loved the surprise of the red trees in the Holiday Forest, and I need to try the “Hand-picked Squares” approach with my scraps — but I think my favourite was the maple leaves with the owls. I laughed out loud!
Jenny says
OF course it was the maple leaves with owls, lol!
