The Delta Quilters Guild Show
NOTE: I may not have a newsletter this week as I am teaching Friday and Saturday. I’ll play it by ear.
I recently co-judged the Delta Quilters Guild show with 9 other judges. The DQG has a unique judging set up, using 10 volunteer judges who work in teams of 2, for ribbons only, no comments. It allows the guild to have a judged show with little expense other than a yummy lunch.
The trade-off is that there are no comments. There were many items I judged that I so wanted to comment upon! But it’s a reasonable trade-off. The guild was so kind and welcoming and treated us judges very well. As you will see below, this is a very talented guild!
The drive down to the Delta took me next to the Sacramento River much of the way. It was a quiet and peaceful morning’s drive:
